Microsoft Corp said on Wednesday it reduce about 3,000 jobs, successfully finishing its plan to cut back its group of workers by using 18,000, or 14 % of whole staff, introduced in July.

The majority of the 18,000 job cuts were within the telephone handset business Microsoft acquired from Nokia earlier this 12 months.
