Micromax Bharat 5 premiered in India on Friday, the latest cheap 4G smartphone in the domestic manufacturer. There is also a bundled information offer, declared in partnership with Vodafone. The smartphone will only be available to purchase via offline retailers in the country. The organization during its launch event also announced that it will launch more smartphones in its Bharat-Series, with all the Bharat 5 Plus and Bharat 5 Pro intended to be established in the following two months. The Business also said it expects to sell more than 6 million Bharat-Series smartphones by March 2018
Commenting on the launch, Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing and Chief Commercial Officer, MicromaxInformatics, said “Bharat 5 like its predecessors will truly drive the next stage of smartphone adoption in the country, as a smartphone with 5000mAh battery is pivotal to get a market like India where the tier 3-4 cities still face severe power outage issues.”
Micromax Bharat 5 price in India, launching offers
Micromax Bharat 5 price in India was put at Rs. 5,555, and it will be made available to purchase via offline stores in the country. At this price point, it competes with the newly established Xiaomi Redmi 5A, which besides the battery offers better specifications. In terms of launching offers, Micromax claims any new or existing Vodafone customer can with a 1GB data package will find an additional 10GB of data a month for 5 weeks – totalling up to 50GB of additional data.
The dual-SIM Micromax Bharat 5 runs Android Nougat, also sports a 5.2-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It is powered with a 1.3GHz quad-core chip (unspecified make), combined with 1GB of DDR3 RAM. The smartphone includes a pair of 5-megapixel cameras on board, on the front and back, both featuring LED flash modules.
Micromax has set 16GB of inbuilt storage to the Bharat 5, expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, 3.5millimeter audio jack, and Micro-USB.
The Micromax Bharat 5 includes a 5000mAh battery, which the firm claims is graded to deliver up to two days of battery life, and a standby time of up to 3 months.
