Apple’s iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Editions are now available for Sale in India.The special variant iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus feature a matte red aluminium finish and will be accessible 64GB and 256GB versions, beginning at Rs. 67,940, through Apple authorised resellers.
IPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED Edition’s base 64GB version will price Rs. 67,940, whilst 128GB variant will be available for Rs. 81,500. IPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Edition cost in India begins at Rs. 77,560 for its 64GB version, although the 256GB version will price Rs. 91,110.
Earlier this month, Apple launched iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Editions internationally as part of its venture with (PRODUCT) RED, an advocacy group dedicated to combating HIV/AIDS at Africa. The first countries for the tablets on April 13 were Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the US. India is part of the next wave of iPhone 8 along with iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Editions launch states, with accessibility initially announced for May.
“This special variant (PRODUCT) RED iPhone includes a stunning red and black color combination and also offers customers the chance to create an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS,” Greg Joswiak, Apple’s Vice President of Product Marketing, earlier said in a statement.
Part of the profits of sales from its (PRODUCT) RED range extends to the Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants that offer counselling, testing, treatment, and prevention programmes with attention especially on removing transmission of the virus from mothers to their babies. As of December this past year, the iPhone manufacturer had increased over $160 million (nearly Rs. 1,038 crores) for its (PRODUCT) RED brand owned by (RED).
