Bebe shops Inc stated it detected a hacking assault on its payment processing system that could have compromised data from cards swiped in its shops in the U.S., Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
The exposed data will have integrated cardholder names, account numbers, expiration dates and verification codes, the ladies’s apparel retailer stated on Friday.
Bebe, which additionally operates shops in Canada, said the affected transactions had been made between Nov. 8 and Nov. 26, the day before Thanksgiving.
Security blog krebsonsecurity stated on Thursday that hackers could have stolen credit score and debit card knowledge from Bebe all through Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
